Federal Reserve Bank
MDP provided design services for multiple scopes at the Federal Reserve Bank, combining precision demolition planning, temporary facility design, and mission critical infrastructure upgrades. The project includes 26,875 SF of demolition work to prepare for asbestos abatement, with detailed documentation of existing low voltage and security devices, as well as sprinkler and fire alarm device locations. MDP also designed a 3,545 SF temporary kitchen and cafeteria, coordinating closely with the client’s equipment plans and assisting with health department permitting. A key highlight was the design of a new Data Center featuring two uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and three computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units configured for N+1 redundancy, ensuring continuous operations. Our team integrated low voltage requirements into the design for seamless coordination with vendors. By combining expertise in demolition, temporary facility design, and critical systems engineering, MDP helped the Federal Reserve Bank maintain operations while preparing for its next phase of modernization.
