MDP provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the steam boiler replacement at Denver’s historic Union Station. The existing boiler plant generated steam using two gas fired boilers providing steam to create heating hot water and domestic hot water for the main train station and all tenant spaces. The replacement included utilizing a series of high efficiency tankless type water heaters in place of the steam boilers, providing an energy efficient with improved redundancy and a reduction in equipment footprint.
