MDP provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the boiler plant replacement at Denver’s historic Oxford Hotel, providing a tankless type water heater solution in place of the existing gas fired boilers. The scope included challenges in maintaining the hotel operational while the retrofit occurred, requiring significant coordination in design and construction sequencing minimizing plant downtime. The retrofit not only provided an energy efficient solution reducing the utility premium for the hotel, but increased the redundancy for the system to prevent any loss of service in the future.
