MDP provided MEP design for a new multifamily residential development located in Aurora, Colorado. This “garden-style” community spans approximately 4.8 acres and consists of six (6) 3-story walk-up residential buildings and a shared clubhouse amenity. The development includes approximately 180,000 square feet of net rentable space and a total of 186 dwelling units, with a mix of studio, 1-bedroom, 1-bedroom plus den, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom floor plans.
Parking accommodations include approximately 227 spaces, comprising 42 garage spaces, 28 tandem spaces, and 157 surface parking spaces.
Given the site’s adjacency to Red-tailed Hawk Park, outdoor amenities are modest, featuring a centralized clubhouse and an outdoor swimming pool.
The project is designed to achieve compliance with the City of Aurora’s “Green Building” requirements through National Green Building Standard (NGBS) certification. MDP is coordinating closely with the sustainability consultant to meet the required performance benchmarks.
While each building will be permitted separately, MDP has developed a comprehensive MEP design package to support concurrent design and streamlined project delivery.
