MDP provided full MEP design for a new, 4-story, 426,377 GSF mixed-use project in Westminster, CO. The project is part of the 105-acre redevelopment of the former Westminster Mall. The project includes 287 for-rent apartment units, retail space, a 124,263 SF precast concrete parking garage, and amenity areas. The building structure is wood construction over a concrete podium.

Project Highlights:

• The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification. Low-flow plumbing fixtures were chosen as well as an Aquatherm mechanical system which uses the domestic hot water from the water heaters to heat the units.
• The lighting design for the building is all high efficiency LEDs with controls that utilize daylight harvesting and comply with ASHRAE 90.1 2013.
