MDP provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the adaptive reuse of an existing building near Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. The project scope included core and shell build-out of office spaces and associated restrooms, as well as mechanical design for the parking garage. The building also features two levels of underground parking and ground-floor retail and restaurant spaces, contributing to a vibrant, mixed-use environment.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

• Lighting was re-designed to include energy efficient LEDs

• The mechanical system was retrofited and modified from a duel duct system to a single duct system. This design decision was a value add and saved the owner approximately $1M on the project.

• A new facade was added to the building and additional windows were punched to allow for more dayllight in the office spaces.
