Senior ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (PE) – COMMERCIAL MEP DESIGN 

 

Employment Type: Full-Time

MDP Engineering is looking for a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in commercial building design projects, including office, hospitality, and multi-family residential. The position requires strong leadership, communication, technical and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of 7+ engineers. MDP Engineering is located in downtown Denver and offers an exciting work environment. Position is full-time with excellent salary and bonus program, a benefit program that includes, health and dental insurance, and a 401k program with company contributions.

 

Specific job duties will include:

  • Project and departmental management.
  • Mentoring, training, and oversight of staff.
  • Participation in the planning, development, and preparation of construction documents.
  • Client business development and nurturing.
  • Interdepartmental collaboration with Mechanical department.
  • Supervision of a team of up to 7 employees.
  • Conduct field surveys, engineering calculations, and assessments of existing building electrical systems.
  • Prepare reports of findings and recommendations, cost estimates, specifications.

  • Strong knowledge of building, energy, and electrical codes.
  • Experience with LEED Certified projects.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Visual and REVIT.

  • Interface with clients on a regular basis.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/MARKETING MANAGER

MDP Engineering Group is well-respected, Denver based, multi-discipline engineering firm of 35+ people, providing full-service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design on a variety of projects including commercial, hotels, and multi-family. We were established in 2009.

 

We are seeking an individual with experience in Business Development and Marketing for the A/E/C industry to join our team. This individual will possess vision and discipline to help us move towards the next phase of our company’s development.

The position will be involved with all aspects of business development and marketing, including proposal writing and coordination, corporate branding, market research, and strategy for growth opportunities.

 

General Duties and Responsibilities:         

  • Lead business development efforts.
  • Participate in internal business development meetings with company leadership.
  • Assist in the identification of new clients, markets, and opportunities.
  • Use of Adobe InDesign to develop and coordinate materials for proposals, brochures, and all other marketing related collateral.
  • Research and technical writing to enhance our existing literature and develop new marketing collateral for publications.
  • Create proposals for new and ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate marketing events and attend social events on behalf of firm.
  • Additional related tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with concentration in Marketing, Graphic Design, Journalism or Communications.
  • Experience as a proposal/marketing coordinator in a professional services firm (i.e. construction, architecture, engineering or commercial real estate organization) preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite. InDesign is required.
  • Must possess strong writing, editing, communication, and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a strong sense of focus and confidence under tight deadlines and varying workloads.
  • Ability to lead processes and work with colleagues on multiple tasks and projects.
