MEP Electrical Engineer with PE license

Employment Type: Full-Time

  • MDP Engineering is looking for an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in commercial design projects, including office, hospitality and multi-family residential. The position requires strong leadership, communication, technical and organizational skills.

Specific job duties will include:

  • Commercial power-distribution system one-line diagrams, fault-current calculations, protective device series rating and selective coordination, lighting controls, photometric calculations, and lighting/power circuiting design.
  • Participation in the planning, development, and preparation of construction documents.
  • Prepare reports of findings and recommendations, cost estimates, specifications
  • Conduct field surveys, engineering calculations, and assessments of existing building electrical systems.
  • Interface with clients on a regular basis.
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Project Management.
  • Supervise a team of up to 4 employees.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • 4-year degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of building, energy, and electrical codes.
  • Experience with LEED Certified projects.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Visual and REVIT.

  • MDP Engineering is looking for a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with 15+ years of experience in small to medium commercial TI design projects, including office TI remodel, retail, as well as, some hospitality and multi-family residential for Quality Control review and stamping/signing of Electrical drawings.

Specific job duties will include:

  • Quality Control of Projects and Drawings
  • Stamping and Signing of reviewed projects and Drawings
  • Mentoring of New Engineers

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

BIM MANAGER

MDP Engineering Group, a well-respected MEP consulting engineering firm located in downtown Denver, is looking for a full-time BIM Manager.

 

This position will oversee the company-wide implementation of Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, including BIM360, and other products used for MEP design processes.

 

It is expected that the BIM Manager will participate in developing best practices, workflow processes, and standards, advise, educate, and assist other users with techniques and methods, and lead training efforts.

 

The primary role will include setting up MEP models for new projects, updating existing models during the design process, and collaborating with architects and other project participants in delivering the comprehensive MEP design model.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong skills related to Revit and BIM360 techniques and processes, understand MEP design, be familiar with clash detection principles, and construction documents production workflow.

 

Qualifications:
• Experience in engineering or architectural industries as a full-time BIM Manager
• Advanced knowledge of BIM software, tools, and processes
• In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions, emphasizing project setup, folder and files organization, etc.
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance. This might include basic users’ computer software and hardware maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Must be a self-starter and work well independently as well as part of a team
